Grace Schulz, Patent Agent

Grace Schulz offers patent services including performing patentability searches, preparing patent applications, and prosecuting patents.  She has worked with various types of clients, from individual inventors to large corporations, for over 15 years.

Grace has a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Purdue University, with Highest Distinction, and a M.S. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of California at Berkeley, with a National Science Foundation Fellowship.  Prior to being a patent agent, Grace worked in the medical device industry developing cardiovascular catheters as a project engineer for Guidant and Director of R&D for VNUS Medical Technologies.  She was involved with all areas of product development, including design, animal studies, manufacturing qualifications, clinical training, regulatory filings and patents.

Her areas of technical experience as a patent agent include medical devices (cardiovascular catheters, optometry systems, glucose monitoring, infusion systems), solar cells, solar energy systems, semiconductors, e-beam lithography, materials processing, 3D printing, biological lighting, and various consumer products.

Grace is registered to practice with the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office.
